A recent research by a global industry organisation representing mobile network carriers claimed that between 2023 and 2040, it may contribute $36.4 trillion ($455 billion) to the Indian economy. By 2030, it is anticipated that one-third of all connections in India would be 5g. According to a research by the World Organization for Mobile Communications, the share of 2G and 3G will decrease below 10 percent. The central government has concluded the 5g spectrum auction. JIO and Airtel participated and bid in this.
