Cast of Big Brother Season 26: On Wednesday night, we got a sneak peek at what the 16 houseguests of Big Brother, which is back for another season, have planned for the summer. The show’s main theme is artificial intelligence, and it comes out on TV with some cool new features.

Big Brother from the future is coming your way

“I call it Artificial Intelligence Big Brother style,” said anchor Julie Chen Moonves. That’s the main idea. When you first come in, you think, “Wow, this is a stylish, modern house.” But once you get a closer look, you start to wonder: “Is that bedroom AI generated? It has a really futuristic vibe. Thus, there are aspects of fantasy and futurism. The HOH chamber appears to be an impenetrable safe haven. This year, the Have-Not room’s beds resemble coffins more than anything else. Essentially, you’re sleeping on a box because there are no mattresses.

“We are really stepping it up this year. BB26 presenter Julie Chen Moonves continued, “For the first time ever, these 16 strangers will have the authority to determine whether or not to let a 17th houseguest in.”

Regarding the ones we do know about, the ensemble is as varied as ever, spanning a range of ages, backgrounds, and occupations. When the show concludes in October, all of them hope to win the $750,000 cash prize.

The BB26 housemates reveal their biographies

The cast shared with us their past experiences, as well as their goals and aspirations for the Big Brother house. A 30-year-old Tampa, Florida video store clerk named Joseph Rodriguez has been a fan since the beginning: “I want to compete on Big Brother because I have watched an embarrassing amount of reality TV in my thirty years of life.” I adore Big Brother, and I adore this genre. In my day-to-day activities, such as playing poker, I also simply compete with others. And the highest-stakes poker event you can participate in is this one. He clarified, “I love that feeling, but there’s a lot of money on the line, so the pressure is on.”

52-year-old Boston native and former undercover police officer Kenney Kelley is the oldest guest to enter the home. He is in BB26 for reasons that are unique to him. The Big Brother competition began with Derrick [Levasseur]. I watched a police officer from New England named Derrick; I believe it was season 16. He entered, managed to conceal his identity, and emerged victorious,” he remarked.

Ultimately, I became somewhat interested in Big Brother because I wanted to talk to my wife, who was really involved with the show with all of her friends. And in the end, I was able to win her over; I’m now married and have two children. But what better way to win over my wife—possibly the biggest Big Brother fan ever—than to bring the $750,000 home.

Although Los Angeles event bartender Rubina Bernabe acknowledges she hasn’t watched the show much, she felt they were meant to be together after viewing it. “I belong on this show, even though I’m not exactly a superfan,” she exclaimed. “I genuinely believe that everything I’ve experienced in my life—trials and tribulations that I refer to as character development—has equipped me to be outstanding on this program. I truly feel that both Big Brother and I are in need of each other.”

Kimo Apaka, the first native Hawaiian to appear on BB26, and Los Angeles-based celebrity chef Lisa Weintraub will also be featured.

This Thursday, July 18, from 9 to 10 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network, is the second episode of a special two-night premiere that will launch season 26. It may be seen live and on-demand onParamount+.

The network has announced that more episodes with live evictions will air on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Each week at the end, one of the competitors will be voted out of the home; the last person standing will get a $750,000 cash prize when the show ends on Sunday, October 13, with a final 90-minute episode.
