Prabhas’ The Raja Saab Day 5 Collection: The film industry and fans were eagerly watching the weekend closely, and Prabhas’ expected horror-comedy The Raja Saab has shown by its fifth day of release a mixed performance at the box office. After a blockbuster opening day, the movie has seen a gradual drop in its collections as it enters the first week.

The latest trade report from Live Hindustan says that the film has made around ₹113.4 crore in India across all languages by day five, marking a memorable achievement but at the same time revealing the movie’s struggle to expand its reach on weekdays.
With the release on January 9, 2026, the film The Raja Saab was all set to enjoy the fanfare and solid hype, and as a result, it had a strong opening weekend. On the first day, the film reportedly opened to a massive ₹53.75 crore, followed by ₹26 crore on Saturday and ₹19.1 crore on Sunday, making its three-day domestic total exceed ₹108 crore.

On the other hand, these early numbers could not be turned into the work week. The fifth day (Monday) saw a rapid drop in collections which is a common pattern for films that rely heavily on good opening figures but fail to attract audiences in the long run. The Raja Saab has been reported to have earned around ₹5.4 crore on Day 5, which is a significant decrease from its weekend peak.

Industry Response
Insiders in the industry consider it worth noting that the crossing of the ₹100-crore mark constitutes a major milestone but the reduction in collections especially after Day 3 has been disappointing when compared to other expensive releases launched in the same season.
The experts are of the opinion that The Raja Saab’s mixture of genres and the divided reviews may have been the reason for its fewer visitors on weekdays in non-Telugu markets.
