Xiaomi 18 Pro Series Launch: Xiaomi has launched its new Xiaomi 18 Pro series in China. The lineup includes the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Both phones come with high-end hardware, Leica cameras and a second screen on the back. The Xiaomi 18 Pro starts at RMB 5,999, while the Pro Max starts at RMB 6,999. These prices are around RM3,652 and RM4,261 respectively. There’s no official Malaysia price or launch date yet. The phones were announced in China on September 23, 2026.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Max brings a big screen and Privacy features
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is the bigger model and uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip made on a 2nm process. Xiaomi has also added Offset PoP cooling with its 3D IceLoop system to help control heat during heavy gaming and other demanding tasks.

It has a 6.9-inch Xiaomi Privacy Display with a 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. The phone also gets HyperRGB 2.0 and Xiaomi’s M11 panel. Its privacy feature is designed to make the screen harder for people nearby to see. A special AI button can be used to control privacy features. An AON sensor can also detect someone looking at the screen from within 30 degrees.
The phone has a 2.9-inch rear display under the camera area. Its Leica camera setup includes a 200MP main camera, a 200MP telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The telephoto camera supports a 75mm portrait focal length and 12cm macro shots. There’s also a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The Pro Max is powered by an 8,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. It supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It also comes with HyperOS 4, Wi-Fi 7, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, triple speakers and IP68 protection.
Xiaomi 18 Pro offers similar features in a smaller body
The Xiaomi 18 Pro comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and a 2.7-inch screen on the back. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, along with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Like the Pro Max, it also gets the privacy display system and a triple Leica camera setup with two 200MP cameras and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The smaller phone packs a 7,000mAh battery but still supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Both models also support 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and Android 17-based HyperOS 4.
Prices and variants
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max starts at RMB 6,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 12GB + 512GB version costs RMB 7,999. The 16GB + 512GB model costs RMB 8,999, while the 16GB + 1TB version is RMB 9,999. A special transparent 16GB + 1TB edition is priced at RMB 10,999.
