In a shocking incident, a cleric at a mosque inside Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was arrested for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl.
The accused, identified as Mohmmad Ahmed, has been arrested after the mother of the victim filled an FIR against him
As per the early reports, accused Ahmed used to visit minor’s house to teach her the verses of Quran. Few days back, Ahmed allegedly attempted to molest the victim. When the child tried to oppose, Ahmed eve threatened to kill her.
Two days back, the victim gathered courage to tell her mother about the incident following which, the family contact Aligarh SSp and registered a case against the accused.
Akash Kulhari, SSP Aligarh, said that,”a woman filed a complaint that her daughter was sexually harassed by the cleric. He has been arrested.”
