Is BGIS Season 2 Coming Soon: On 4 June 2023, prominent BGMI esports commentators Piyush “Spero” Bathla and Zishan “Mazy” Alam hosted the Battlegrounds Mobile India Rising event. Spero alluded to the prospect of a future Season 2 of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) while he and the other players were chatting with Shreeman Legend and Mortal between matches.
He attempted to draw attention to the card he was holding, which featured the logos for the BGMI Rising event and the BGIS 2023 conference. While Mazy attempted to make fun of Spero, the camera fixated on the card, making the latter’s logo more distinct.
Ocean “Ocean” Sharma also shared a story on his Instagram account, providing a subtle hint about the imminent BGIS Season 2.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series Season 1 was the first “open for all” tournament, and it was a tremendous success, with millions of players registering and competing in the qualifiers. With an enormous prize pool of INR 1 Crore and a duration of one and a half months, the tournament featured intense matches and millions of YouTube viewers.
Skylightz Gaming emerged as the inaugural champions, followed by Team SoloMid and Team XO in second and third place, respectively. Neyoo of GodLike Esports emerged as the Grand Finals MVP. Although GodLike Esports placed fourth, they advanced to the PMGC 2021 Grand Finals when the top three teams encountered difficulties.
With BGMI being unbanned for a three-month trial period, it remains to be seen whether the second edition of BGIS will be held within the next few weeks or after the game’s definitive return to the Indian gaming market.
