A head constable of Delhi Police was arrested after found drunk during his assignment to raid and rescue a minor girl who was allegedly kidnapped by a 19-year-old boy in Bihar.
According to the reports, accused policeman named Mukesh Kumar had come to Bihar to arrest the 19-year-old man who eloped with a 17-year-old girl from Delhi.
During the raid led by Delhi police’s ASI SN Dutta, Kumar created ruckus in a drunk state following which locals overpowered him as he was drunk.
Citizens informed the excise department who later arrested him and took him in police custody.
Allegedly, the accused made several attempts to escape the authorities and his colleagues. On knowing that he was drunk, a breath analyser test was taken, the results of which were positive.
