During a heated argument over a road dispute in Gopalganj, BJP leader Shiv Kumar Upadhyaya has accused JDU MLA Amarendra Kumar alias Pappu Pandey of threatening to shoot him. Shiv Kumar Upadhyay is a member of BJP District Working Committee and Amarendra Kumar is a sitting JDU MLA from Kuchaikote constituency. Upadhyaya has also posted a video of the incident on his Facebook account.
BJP leaders have alleged that Shiv Kumar Upadhyay was going somewhere on Monday evening when JDU MLA Amarendra Kumar Pandey stopped Upadhaya’s car and asked BJP leader to come out of the car. When he came out of the car, Pandey started abusing him and threatened to shot him.
Shiv Kumar Upadhaya has filed a written complaint with the police and requested to take some early action in the case.
After the incident, JDU MLA Amarendra Kumar said that “Some people are planning to defame me. I have had good relations with the family of Shiv Kumar Upadhyay for the past 18 years. I can never threaten them”.
