Ever since Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar announced his resignation from the CM post on late Wednesday and took oath as a new CM with the support of BJP today, the nation is stunned. Bihar politics has become a hot topic of discussion for everyone and so is Nitish Kumar.
Amid all this, there comes a report suggesting that the new CM Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar is much richer than the CM himself.
As far as movable and immovable assets are concerned, as per the details declared by the chief minister and his cabinet ministers in 2015, Kumar’s son Nishant has cash and movable/immovable properties worth over Rs 2 crore. This makes him over three times richer than his father.
While Nitish has assets, including cash, deposits in banks and movable/immovable properties worth Rs 58 lakh, his son’s properties worth around Rs 2.14 crore. Kumar has Rs 40,566 in cash while his son Nishant has Rs 7,034 in cash.
The father has two vehicles also.
Notably, chief minister had made it obligatory for everyone in his cabinet to declare their assets yearly by 31 December since 2010.
