The three-phase polls in Bihar will be held on October 28, November 3, and November 7, and the counting of votes will take place on November 10. Congress is contesting 70 of the 243 Assembly seats in alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Left parties.

The BJP has released the list of candidates for the second phase. The party had given a ticket to Samastipur district minister Virendra Kumar Paswan from Rasoda seat. However, BJP’s Virender Paswan dodged the party leaders.

According to a report in NavBharat Times, the ticket was officially announced for Virendra Kumar Paswan. Taking the benefit of a similar name, Virendra Paswan who belongs to the Darbhanga district arrived at the party headquarters in Patna to receive the BJP symbol.

When the real Vijendra Kumar Paswan, along with his supporters, arrived at the BJP office to receive the party symbol, he was told that he already had received the symbol.

Followed by the incident, BJP workers were sent to the divisional office at Rasoa. Virendra Paswan, who arrived for the nomination was then, briefed by the leaders in Patna. However, the party has not yet taken any action on the Darbhanga candidate.

Meanwhile, BJP on Tuesday released a Bhojpuri campaign song highlighting the achievements of the NDA government. The song, titled “Bihar Me Ee Baa (This is in Bihar)”, was released as part of the BJP’s poll campaign to counter another Bhojpuri song “Bihar Me Ka Ba (What’s up with Bihar)” by an artist Neha Singh Rathore.

Bihar BJP shared the music video on its Twitter and the song is receiving a huge response from the people of the poll-bound state.
