Rosé’s album R has amassed 600 million streams and over 840,000 physical album sales, according to the Circle Chart. On the Ground and Gone are the only two songs on the pop album R.
Lyrics for both songs are credited to Rosé.The album’s debut hit, On the Ground, includes a music video all of its own. On the Ground, the first single from the album, surpassed PSY’s Gentleman’s previous record of 41.6 million views in 24 hours when it was released. On the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it debuted at number 70, and the Billboard Global 200 chart saw its peak at number one.
The music video for another hit, Gone, received 15 million views in the first day. On the Billboard Global 200 list, the single peaked at position 29. R won the Top 20 Album of the Year – Overseas category of the Asian Pop Music Awards in 2021.
