Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has claimed that he became ‘dull’ during married life with Jennifer Aniston and that he wasn’t living an ‘interesting life’. The Hollywood hunk had given a damning indictment of his time with the Friends actress during an interview in 2011, six years after he divorced Jen. By the time of the interview, Brad had already been married to Angelina Jolie and had kids with her, when he spoke about his first marriage with Aniston.
According to Parade magazine, Brad cited that it was due to ‘not living an interesting life’ had led him to find comfort in the arms of Angelina. Brad said, “It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself.” He went on to say that his marriage to Aniston had become a ‘sham’ and that he wanted more than what she could offer. Brad continued, “I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”
He also shared why he and Jen didnt have children. He said, “One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom.” The comment led to Brad having to issue a statement to clarify what he meant, after a huge backlash from Jennifer’s fans. Brad said in the statement, ” It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly.” He further said, “The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself and that, I am responsible for.”
Reports are rife that post their respective divorces Jen and Brad are being friends all over again and have sorted out their differences.
