BSP chief Mayawati joins Twitter ahead of Lok Sabha elections, gets 14K followers in no time
In a press release issued by Bahujan Samaj Party on Wednesday, it was informed that party chief Mayawati has “decided to join Twitter for speedy interaction with media and the people besides expressing her views on various important issues and political developments.”
Within hours of the announcement the former Chief Minister of UP was already followed by over 14,000 accounts.

She had first Tweeted on January 22. In the message she had said, “Hello brothers and sisters. With due respect let me introduce myself to the Twitter family. This is my opening and inauguration. @sushrimayawati is my official Twitter handle for all my future interactions, comments and updates. With warm regards. Thank you”
