Actor Hrithik Roshan has shared his views on the ongoing protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act which was recently passed by the government. Various educational institutions including Jamia Millia Islamia has been protesting against the act.
Bollywood actors including Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Parineeti Chopra, Sidharth Malhotra, veteran screenwriter Javed Akhtar, filmmakers Vishal Bhardwaj and Anurag Kashyap, and Hollywood actor John Cusack expressed solidarity with the youth over Sunday”s violence inside the campus.
In a tweet, the actor expressed his sadness over the unrest and prayed for peace to return as soon as possible. He wrote, “As a parent and a citizen of India, I am deeply saddened by the unrest across various educational institutions of our country. I hope and pray for peace to return as soon as possible. Great teachers learn from their students. I salute the words youngest democracy.”
