Central Bureau of Investigation suspends its Deputy SP Devendra Kumar and the procedural will begin only after 24-48 hours of arrest, says CBI. Earlier Kumar had claimed in the court that he was coerced to sign on a blank page, however, CBI kept denying the allegations. According to CBI, Rakesh Asthana continues to head the SIT probing.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out a raid on its own headquarters in the case involving bribery charges against its Special Director Rakesh Asthana and arrested its own Deputy Police Superintendent Devendra Kumar in a bribery case on Monday. The CBI arrested its official in connection to the corruption allegations against Special Director Rakesh Asthana. Devendra Kumar is arrested in connection with the case of meat exporter Moin Qureshi, under the charges of falsification of records.
