The coronavirus cases continue to rise in the national capital, Delhi making the situation more distressing.
In a major development in terms of coronavirus spread in Delhi, it has been reported that lockdown may be imposed once again in the national capital in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah as well. It is in this situation that talks about clamping another lockdown in Delhi have arisen.
However, no such decision has been taken yet.
Meanwhile, Covid-19 cases in Delhi have crossed 32k mark as more than 1500 cases were reported in the past 24 hours. With one more death on Wednesday, Covid-19 death toll in Delhi now stands at 984.
Moreover, sources say that private hotels, banquet halls and even stadiums may be used as treatment and quarantine centres for COVID-19 patients. Reportedly, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi may cross 5.5 lakh figure.
