The death toll in India has crossed the mark of 13,387 and as per the Ministry of health and family welfare, there are 11, 201 active, 1,748 cases have been cured and the death toll stands at 437 whereas there is one migrated case.
The nationwide lockdown has been extended till May 3 and the Centre has announced a set of guidelines to follow during the extended lockdown. Maharashtra has the highest number of coronavirus cases in India. Nearly 3,000 people in the state have been infected while in Delhi over 1,500 cases have been reported.
Meanwhile, in the United States, nearly 2600 people died in the span of 24 hours, taking the total death toll over 28,000. Over 6 lakh people have caught the infection in the US. Across the world, the total number of COVID-19 deaths has crossed 2 million while the total number of cases has crossed 20 lakh across 180 countries.
