Delhi: Police constable on run after allegedly raping 14-year-old girl at his residence

In yet another case of violence against woman, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly humiliated and raped by a Delhi police head constable in outer Delhi’s Mundka are.

As quoted in media reports, a top Delhi Police official said, “The incident took place on July 23. The accused is identified as Amar Singh Chouhan who threatened and raped a 14-year-old girl working as a maid. The wife of the accused also works in the police department and she was not present in the house when the incident took place,” the official said.

According to the official, after getting the information about the incident, a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered.

The accused, in his late 40s, is absconding and police have formed teams to nab him, they added.
