The Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The parliamentary seat is currently held by Bharatiya Janata Party’s Choudhary Babulal, who has been snubbed this time around and the saffron party has given the ticket to Raj Kumar Chaher, Bahujan Samaj Party’ Shreebhagwan Sharma alias Guddu Pandit is also in the race. While the Congress party has fielded Raj Babbar.

This is one of the few seats where the Congress is expected to put a decent show in the state. UP Congress president Babbar, a two-term Lok Sabha MP from neighbouring Agra Lok Sabha, has made the contest on this Lok Sabha seat, as one to watch closely.

Recently, a case was lodged against Guddu Pandit, after he used abusive language against Raj Babbar.

In the second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019, eight seats of Uttar Pradesh are set to undergo polling. The other seven constituencies from Uttar Pradesh which will vote on April 18 are Nagina, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura, Agra.

Fatehpur Sikri Lok Sabha constituency comprises the following five Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments: Agra Rural, Fatehpur Sikri, Kheragarh, Fatehabad and Bah.

In the second phase of elections, 97 parliamentary constituencies across India would vote for the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place for the second phase of Odisha Assembly Elections 2019. The turnout in the last general election in 2014 was more than 66%, up from 45% in 1951 when the first election was held.
