G20 Summit: PM Modi urges Delhi Residents To Make G20 Summit A Success

According to PTI, PM Modi stated that he has instructed all government departments to incorporate space technology into the transparent delivery of services to the public.

G20 Summit: Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi exhorted the citizens of the nation’s capital to help make the G20 summit a success. The much-anticipated summit will be conducted in Delhi on September 9-10, bringing to a close a year of discussions on various global issues. PM Modi stated that the city will host the G20 summit and that residents may experience some inconveniences as a result, adding, “we must ensure its success.”

The Prime Minister also asked for absolution for any inconvenience the arrangements for the G20 Summit may cause to residents of Delhi.

PM Modi addressed a crowd outside Palam airport, where he landed earlier today after meeting with ISRO scientists in Bengaluru. He pleaded for the people of Delhi’s forbearance in advance for any inconvenience the G20 Summit arrangements might cause.

Noting the traffic and other restrictions that will be imposed in Delhi during the stay of foreign visitors for the G20 Summit, the prime minister stated that the residents of Delhi have the most responsibility.

“…there are going to be so many guests…From September 5 to September 15, there will be significant disruptions; I apologise in advance. These are our guests…traffic regulations will be altered, and we will be prevented from travelling to a number of locations, but some things are necessary,” he added.

The Prime Minister also recalled his trip to South Africa for the 15th BRICS Summit and revealed that he received congratulations for Chandrayaan-3 during the summit.

“I travelled to South Africa to attend BRICS…During BRICS, I received numerous messages of congratulations for Chandrayaan-3. The entire world has sent congratulatory messages,” he said, adding, “when we reach a certain level of accomplishment, we will prepare for even greater heights.”

Sharing his experience of meeting ISRO scientists, the Prime Minister stated, “Earlier today, I was in Bangalore because I wanted to meet the scientists who assisted India in achieving such a remarkable accomplishment. I found it heartening to see people carrying national flags to commemorate the success of Chandrayaan.
