Gamescom 2025: The last part of 2025 is already looking very different after the delay of Grand Theft Auto 6 to next year. That change has left a big gap in the gaming calendar, but it also means we can expect a lot more release dates and announcements to fill it. Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 will happen on Tuesday, August 19. Like always, this event starts the whole Gamescom week. The main Gamescom runs until Sunday, August 24, with a mix of live shows and online streams for fans all around the world. Players can expect hands-on demos for big games like Hollow Knight: Silksong and Borderlands 4, plus streaming events from Xbox, Bethesda, and the Future Games Show.

People at home can watch the full show live on YouTube or Twitch. Twitch is often a little faster, so it might be the better option if you want to avoid seeing spoilers on social media. You can also watch through the Gamescom website, and there will be clips and trailers posted on TikTok after.
The show will run for around two hours. Geoff Keighley is hosting again, and it will be packed with game reveals, trailers, first gameplay looks, and appearances from special guests.
