There are months to go for 2019 state election in Andhra Pradesh and the political parties are already geared up for the battle. Keeping in view the same, The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh has announced to assist unemployed youths of Andhra with an allowance of Rs 1,000 as unemployment subsidy. This move is believed to add an additional load of Rs 8,000 crore on the state treasury as it is already staggering under a huge fiscal deficit.

According to the TDP government, the party has decided to execute the plan in order to fulfil the promises from their election manifesto in 2014 regardless of the present fiscal deficit. Under this, the unemployed youths holding the degrees or diploma of the age between 22 and 35 years will be entitled to avail the benefits of the scheme. The scheme was decided in a state cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
