Kerala batsman Sanju Samson who is considered in line for the role of Wicketkeeper-batsman in India’s limited over cricket strengthened his claim on Saturday, when he smashed a double century in a Vijay Hazare Trophy encounter.
Samson thrashed Goa bowlers all over the part to register his first double.
Opting to bat first, Kerala lost the wicket of captain Robin Uthappa, following which Samson embraced the field. Samson scored 20 boundaries and seven sixes in his 125 balls inning.
Following his carnage, micro-blogging site Twitter erupted asking BCCI to consider him for the country’s side.

Why is Sanju Samson not included in squad for wicket keeping? Why is he not taken even though having good records— Raghavendran N (@RaghavendranBa2) October 12, 2019
@BCCI Please give chance to another player in place of Rishabh Pant, the first entitled is Ishan Kishan and the second is entitled Sanju Samson.
