Neighbourly, Google‘s social network app which was earlier launched in Mumbai, has now been rolled out in Delhi and Bengaluru.

This Google app allows users to communicate crucial information to people in their neighbourhood. The app is currently available only on the Android platform and has in just a span of just six months more than 1.5 million downloads, with thousands of others still in the waitlist.

In a blog shared by Google, the company said that most of the questions in Mumbai were about heavy rains and on Dahi Handi celebrations. In Coimbatore, Google shared the trends to be of festival shopping. The Alexa number one now eyes to establish its popularity by expanding to other big Indian cities such as Chennai, Pune, Kolkata.

Facebook to now track your time spent on its platform

According to the app’s domain, the user data will be protected as the users would not be required to share their personal details.
