Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday issued orders for revoking detention of former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah.
National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah had been in detention under the Public Safety Act.
Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary Planning, Jammu and Kashmir said the government had issued an order revoking the detention of Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Abdulla was in detention with other political leaders including his son Omar Abdullah on August 5, when the government ended special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and imposed massive restrictions.
