In an appalling incident, a body of a man was on Tuesday morning found near Gaur Chowk in Greater Noida, police said.
The victim is identified as Gaurav Chandel, was a resident of Gaur City. His body was found near the cricket ground ahead of Gaur Chowk.
As per the family members, Gaurav was murdered but the police have yet to make a statement in connection with the case.
Gaurav, a resident of 5th avenue in Gaur City had bought his car just a month back. It was a routine day for him as he drove back to his home from work. As he did not reach his residence within the said time, his wife called him to enquire. The call, however, went unanswered. Gaurav’s family kept calling him for another half an hour but in vain.
“I will reach in 5 minutes,” he told his family. But Gaurav didn’t return for another 30-40 minutes, raising alarm.
Early Tuesday morning, Gaurav’s body was found between Parthala Chowk and Hindon Bridge. His car, which he had bought only a month back, mobile phone, and laptop bag was missing.
Police have said an investigation has been initiated in the case and the probe is underway.
