For a period of 41 days in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanthi is celebrated. The celebration to the festival starts on Chaitra Purnima which starts in mid-March and ends on the tenth day during Krishna Paksha in Vaishakha month in May.
The devotees in Andhra Pradesh begin 41 days Deeksha on Chaitra Purnima and conclude it on Hanuman Jayanthi which falls today on May 29.
The celebration at Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Telangana will be done with a grand Puja. The temple which is dedicated to Lord Anjaneya Swamy is one of the famous temples located in Muthyumpeta village of Mallial Mandal, Jagitial district of the state.
