Happy birthday Salman Ali: Born on January 14, 1998, Salman Ali Mewati is an Indian singer and was the winner of the 10th season of Indian Idol.
He was also the first runner up of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2011.

- Salman is the youngest of his five brothers and sisters and lives in a joint family in Mewat, Haryana.
- Salman sings all types of songs but his personal favourite is Sufi music.
- This is not his first show as a contestant. He had previously participated in other reality shows. He debuted on reality TV scene at the age of 13 with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champ 2011 and ended up as first runner-up. His guru in the contest was Kailash Kher.
- Salman Ali will spend a major chunk of his prize money on repair of his house and repaying loans. “I come from a very poor family. My house is also not in a good condition. The roof of my house needs to be fixed. We had taken loan also. So, I would like to use the money for all this. I want to take my life forward with this money.”
- Post winning Indian Idol 10, Salman Ali has set his eyes on his Bollywood dreams. He is sure of getting good work in the industry as a lot of people from Bollywood who had come on the set of Indian Idol were all praises for him.
- Salman Ali has already sung a song for Varun Dhawan-starrer Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and TV show Chandragupta Maurya.
- Salman Ali has no money to go to Delhi for audition and at that time his close friend Manohar Sharma helped him financially.
