Sabudana or sago is a very good source of carbohydrate and it’s pulav is a very popular food option for fasting on Hindu religion occasion. This is the reason why ladies prefer to have Sabudana Pulav as it contains a lot of nutrition.

So let’s know its Sabudana Pulav recipe-

Ingredients :

  • 3/4 cup Sabudana
  • 2 small potatoes
  • Half cup peanuts
  • 3 green chillies finely chopped
  • Rock salt as per taste
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
  • One and a half cup of water

Method of Sabudana Pulav preparation:

One thing to keep in mind before making Sabudana pulav is that whenever you want to make it, you must soak  Sabudana in the water 2-3 hours before that. Wash Sabudana thoroughly with water and wash it 5-7 times before soaking it in water because it tastes good.

To make this pulav, cut into small pieces of potatoes and place on a plate. Now take a pan and place it on the gas and let it heat up. Put 1 teaspoon of ghee in the pan and fry the peanuts in it. After frying peanuts in the same pan, fry the potatoes with chopped green chilies. When the potatoes start frying well, then add a little rock salt to it and mix it and keep it covered for 2-4 minutes so that the potatoes will melt well.

Soaked sago in water has so much flowered by removing all its water and if you wish, wash it 1-2 times more thoroughly. Remove the water of sago and put it in the same pan and mix it well with potato, peanuts and green chillies. To cook sabudana, you cover the pan back for 4-5 minutes, soaked sabudana in water will not take much time to cook. When the sabudana are cooked, turn off the gas. The sabudana pulav is ready, you can take it out in a plate and garnish it with green coriander leaves.
