On August 20, it is probable that parts of Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim will experience heavy rainfall. On August 21, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim are likely to experience similar weather conditions.

On August 22, the weather service forecasted heavy to extremely heavy precipitation in sections of Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim. On the same day, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are also expected to experience heavy precipitation.
On August 23, there is a high chance of heavy to very heavy precipitation over portions of Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim. On the same day, isolated areas of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura may also experience heavy precipitation.
IMD also forecasted thunderstorms with lighting for multiple states through August 23. Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to prevail on August 20 over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Gujarat region, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe.
On August 21, it is also likely that parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe will experience similar weather.
