To apply for the Gramin Dak Sevak positions, candidates must have basic computer skills, know how to ride a bicycle, and understand basic financial matters. Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old.

How Will Candidates Be Selected?
The selection process is based on merit, which means candidates will be chosen based on their Class 10 marks. The merit list will be prepared using the marks obtained in Class 10 from recognized boards. These marks will be converted into percentages accurate to four decimal places.
Shortlisted candidates will receive an SMS with details about the next steps, which include physical verification of documents. Candidates will need to report for verification with original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies. The required documents include:

- Category certificate (if applicable)
- A 60-day Computer Knowledge Training Certificate from a recognized institution

- Step 2. Click the “GDS Result/Merit List” tab from the homepage.
- Step 3. Enter the password and registration number.
- Step 4. Hit the submit button.
- Step 5. The result will appear on the screen.
- Step 6. Download and save for further use.
According to media reports, the results are expected to be announced by the last week of March. Once the results are out, candidates can check their status on the official website.
Salary Details
Selected candidates for the ABPM position will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470. For the BPM position, the salary will be between Rs 12,000 and Rs 29,380. Additionally, candidates selected for Chowkidar posts will earn a monthly salary of Rs 20,000.
