Internet banned in Bihar’ Jehanabad after stone pelting incident

After a stone-pelting incident took place near the religious place of a community in Jehanabad on Thursday, October 10 early morning the internet services have been banned in the district.

“As per government instructions internet services have been stopped in your area till further notice,” a Reliance Jio customer received the text from the telecom company.

 

The stone-pelting incident took place at 6 AM following which a stampede erupted. According to reports, 14 people, including 4 cops have got injured in the pelting incident. 8 of the injured have been admitted to the Sadar Hospital.

People have blocked streets in the city, demanding action against the miscreants.
