The IPL 2021 player auction will be held on February 18 in Chennai, IPL announced on Wednesday.   

Last week eight franchises including Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, and Royal Challengers Bangalore announced the list of players they want to retain and release. 

According to that, 55 players will go into the auction which will coincide with England’s tour of India from February 5 in Chennai. 

Notably, a total of 61 slots are available to be filled across the eight franchises, with RCB having the most number of available slots (13). KXIP will have the maximum amount to spend at ₹53.20 crores in the IPL 2021 auction.
