The selection procedure for the CGO position at iQOO included phases such as game competitions, group discussions, and an audition with Rannvijay Singha, Mythpat, and Nipun Marya as the jury. In these phases, candidates were evaluated based on their Gameplay, Gaming Knowledge, personality, and communication skills. Shwetank was determined to be the most qualified candidate for the position out of over 600,000 applicants.

What is the role of the Chief Gaming Officer?

The CGO will have access to the company’s most up-to-date hardware in order to evaluate its effectiveness and provide feedback to enhance the user experience. The individual will receive invitations to esports events held in various states in order to network with other gamers and collect feedback on the most recent hardware or games.

In addition, iQOO has reportedly appointed two zonal CGOs who will work directly with Shwetank to align strategies, improve community engagement, and guarantee a superior gaming experience. This appointment is further evidence that the gaming industry is growing in emerging markets such as India.
