In Bihar, Rajya Sabha Election elections are to be held on five seats, for which the nomination date is fixed till 13 March. Janata Dal (United) (JDU) has announced the names of its two candidates, Harivansh and Ramnath Thakur will again go to Rajya Sabha.
Senior JDU leaders had a meeting with National President cum Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna today, after which the names were decided.
State President Vasistha Narayan Singh duly announced the names of Harivansh and Ramnath Thakur as Rajya Sabha candidates at his residence.
