- A number of attempts — A candidate may only take this exam twice in two academic years.
- Minimum Required Percentage – If a candidate obtained 75% or higher in their 12th grade or equivalent examination, they are qualified to sit for the JEE Advanced.
- JEE Main Performance – To be eligible for the JEE advanced 2023 examination, candidates must rank among the top 2.5 lacs of JEE Main qualified candidates.
