In a highly tragic incident, twelve people including two child lost their lives while four were injured after their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district
As said in the reports so far, the Doda SSP Mumtaz Ahmed told that the accident took place near the Marmat area of the hilly district on Tuesday at about 3:30 PM.
Officials said the vehicle was headed for Gowa village of Marmat from Kleeni when the driver lost control while negotiating a blind curve and the vehicle fell into the gorge .
Two children were among those killed in the accident, the officer said, adding that rescue operation is underway. Meanwhile, the injured ones have been admitted to the nearby hospital.
