Every time during elections, unique stories come out from the most far-fetched locations. The upcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly election is no exception. The Election Commission of India from time to time have taken steps to ensure that every citizen gets the chance to use their right to vote. No matter how small the number of eligible citizens is in for a polling booth, the ECI makes sure that nothing goes wrong.

In the polling booth number 143 in Sherandandh village, such a situation has arisen. For the booth, there are only four people with voting rights and interestingly three of them belong to the same family. The village falls under the Bharatpur-Sonhat Assembly constituency.

The village is situated 15 km away from the main road. The ECI team would require to cross a river and around 6 km of rocky terrain to reach the village.

In the state, voting will take place in two phases, i.e. on November 12 and November 20. While the counting of votes will be held on December 11.
