Karnataka CET 2020: KCET to be held on July 30 & 31

New Delhi: The Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister, who also conducts the higher education portfolio confirmed that KCET 2020 exam dates.

New DelhiKarnataka Common Entrance Test, or KCET, will be held on July 30 and July 31 for admission to BTech courses in the state’s institutes. The Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister, who also conducts the higher education portfolio confirmed that KCET 2020 exam dates.

KCET is a pen-and-paper based test. Important information such as KCET exam centres, time and schedule for students who will take the exam will be mentioned in the admit cards. Candidates can download their KCET admit cards by visiting the official website of KEA.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority, or KEA, holds this test in many KCET exam centres in the state. Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the exam holding body had to consider several factors and make modifications accordingly to the student’s need.

KEA earlier has increased the number of KCET 2020 exam centres, extended application dates and rescheduled the eligibility test. Initially, KCET 2020 was slated to be held from April 22 to April 24. However, the KCET exam dates were already released on May 13, 2020.

The Higher Education Minister C N Ashwathnarayan confirmed the KCET dates via tweet. The Minister said: “The K-CET 2020 examinations will be held on the decided dates of July 30 & July 31. All the best to all the students!”
