Kerala State Lottery offers a variety of weekly lotteries. It was established in 1967 under the lottery department of the state. The idea of the department came from the then Finance Minister of Kerala, the late PK Kunju Sahib, who envisaged revenue from the sale of lotteries as a major source of non-tax revenue for the state and a stable income source for the poor and common people.

The main aim of the scheme is to provide job opportunities to the unemployed and the government to attain economic stability by obtaining finance.

The Kerala State Lottery Department will announce results of the November 15 Kerala Lottery ‘Pooja Bumper 2020 BR-76’ at 3 pm. Results will be declared at keralalotteryresult.net.

Kerala Pooja Bumper 2020 BR-76 Prize Money

The first prize winner of the Kerala state lottery ‘Pooja Bumper 2020 BR-76’ will bag Rs 5 crores, while the second and third prize winners will get Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, respectively. There is also a consolation prize of Rs 1 lakh.

The fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth prize winners will get Rs 1 lakh, Rs 5,000, Rs 2000, Rs 1000 and Rs 500, respectively.

The lottery in Kerala is run by the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries. The department which came into existence on September 1, 1967, released its first lottery ticket on November 1, the same year.

The price of a single ticket is Rs 40, while the entire book costs Rs 750. If the prize money is less than Rs 5,000, the winners can claim the money from any lottery shop in Kerala. If the amount won is above Rs 5,000, the winners will have to surrender their tickets before a bank or government lottery office with id proofs.

The department now rolls out seven weekly lotteries viz. Pratheeksha, Dhanasree, Win-Win, Akshaya, Bhagyanidhi, Karunya and Pournami lotteries and six bumper lotteries. The department, which started with a few personnel, now has around 465 employees under its Directorate located at Vikas Bhavan at Thiruvananthapuram, 14 District Offices and a Regional Deputy Directorate at Ernakulam.
