KPIT Technologies, a global leader in automotive software and mobility engineering, has expanded its global footprint with the launch of a new technology center in Gothenburg, Sweden. This strategic move aims to deepen collaboration with European automotive giants and harness the region’s strength in clean, smart, and safe mobility solutions.
The new center is located at Lindholmen Science Park, a hub for automotive R&D and mobility innovation. Surrounded by top Swedish OEMs, universities, and startups, the location offers KPIT access to a highly skilled talent pool and cutting-edge ecosystem focused on sustainable mobility.
Strategic Push into the Nordics
This is KPIT’s first center in the Nordics, marking a significant step in its European expansion. The facility is designed to serve as a near-shore engineering base for Swedish and European original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), enabling faster co-development and delivery of software and hardware design solutions.

Enhancing a Global Network
KPIT has been working with European OEMs for over two decades. The Swedish center complements its existing network of delivery hubs across Germany, UK, France, Italy, and extends its global reach across the US, Japan, China, Thailand, India, and Tunisia.
The move reinforces KPIT’s role in software-defined mobility, a sector increasingly focused on electrification, autonomous driving, and vehicle software platforms.
