During the quarrel, things got violent. Police said that Vidya fell on the ground, and Vijay bit her nose so badly that the tip of her nose got completely cut off. Locals nearby saw what happened and rushed to help. They took Vidya first to the government hospital in Channagiri and then shifted her to a private hospital in Shivamogga for better treatment. Doctors say she is now in stable condition.
Case Shifted to Another Station
After the incident, Vidya decided to go to the police. She gave a complaint against her husband Vijay, and the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) at Jayanagar Police Station in Shivamogga. But because the fight happened in a different police area, the case has now been moved to the Channagiri Police Station, which is in Davanagere district.
Other Shocking Nose-Biting Incidents in Recent Months
This is not the only time such a disturbing thing has happened. Last month, in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district, another man bit off his wife’s nose after he found her with another man. That woman was badly hurt and had to be taken to the hospital because she was bleeding a lot.

And a similar case happened in May in Kanpur, where a man bit off the nose of the secretary of his housing society. They had gotten into a fight over car parking at Ratan Planet Apartment. The man who did this was identified as Kshitij Mishra, and the person who got injured was Rupendra Singh Yadav, a retired engineer working as the society secretary.
