Madhya Pradesh Polls 2018: Congress to release candidates list soon

Ahead of Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, the Congress is expected to declare their respective candidates’ first list on Friday, October 12. As polling date is coming near, the party is busy finalising names of their candidates in New Delhi, sources claimed.

As per the sources, the party has done a total of four surveys in Madhya Pradesh to finalise the candidates and screening committee meeting which started on October 8 has completed the scrutiny of potential candidates on Thursday. The names which are finalised has been forwarded to Rahul Gandhi and the Central Election Committee (CEC) of All India Congress Committee (AICC) will be holding a key meet in New Delhi on Friday and it is expected that the first list of Madhya Pradesh Congress will be announced by tomorrow evening, claimed sources.

Congress which is trying to conclude its 15 years of exile in Madhya Pradesh has said that party is looking at those candidates who can win the elections. The assembly elections are being held in Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. Voting in Madhya Pradesh will be done on November 28 and the results will be announced on December 11.
