MOKSHADA EKADAHI 2022 The Hindu religion places a high level of importance on the practise of fasting on the Ekadashi days. Every Ekadashi is significant in its own way. Mokshada Ekadashi is an example of this type of exceptional Ekadashi. The Mokshada Ekadashi is the Ekadashi that occurs during the Shukla Paksha of the month of Margashirsha. It is also known as the Ekadashi of releasing. On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, worship is performed in honour of Lord Vishnu.

It is referred to as the Ekadashi in the religious teachings of Hinduism, and it is believed that it offers salvation to the ancestors. On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, it is believed that if one observes a fast, all of their wishes will come true. On this day in the Dwapar Yuga, Lord Shri Krishna had bestowed the knowledge of the Gita upon the people of Kurukshetra. Because of this, the festival known as Geeta Jayanti is also held on this day. This time around, the celebration of Mokshada Ekadashi will take place on the Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Mokshada Ekadashi 2022: Puja Vidhi

On Dashami Tithi, the day before Ekadashi, you are only permitted to consume one meal in the afternoon. On the day of Ekadashi, people get up very early, wash themselves, and then make a solemn oath to fast all day. After they have satisfied the requirements of their fasting vows, they recite the name of Shri Krishna and offer him lamps, naivedya, and incense sticks as offerings. After then, you should get up in the middle of the night to worship. In addition to this, they also worship on the day after this one, which is known as Dwadashi. After that, those who are able to do so break their fast by distributing food to those who are in need, while others donate garments to Brahmins or perform other acts of charity.

Mokshada Ekadashi 2022: Significance

People worship their ancestors in order to attain salvation even on the day that is designated as the Moksha Ekadashi, but fasting is another way to cleanse oneself of one’s sins. On the day known as Mokshada Ekadashi, Gita Jayanti is also celebrated because it is said that it was on this day that Lord Krishna personally presented the Gita to Arjuna. On the other side, Maharishi Ved Vyas, Lord Shri Krishna, and the Shrimad Bhagwad Gita are all diligently venerated.
