Three men allegedly raped a 23-year old woman in Gurgaon and killed her eight-month-old daughter by throwing her off from a moving auto-rickshaw, alleged the victim. The woman filed gang-rape charges on Monday, six days after the incident happened on 29th May.
According to the police reports, the child died of head injuries.
The victim, who is a resident of Bass Kusla village, Manesar, said that she left her home on May 29 midnight after an argument with her husband. She was heading towards her parent’s house in Khandsa village and the incident happened after she took a lift in an auto-rickshaw in which three persons were already sitting.

In her complaint, she said, “The men in the auto-rickshaw started molesting me as soon as I sat in the vehicle. When I objected, one of them threw my daughter on the ground after which she died and I was sexually assaulted”.
A senior reporter told IANS, “Earlier, we had registered a case under relevant sections of murder, molestation and common intent against unknown persons after the woman refused to undergo a medical examination. Now, she is alleging gang rape. We are investigating it further”.
