Madhya Pradesh social welfare board president and senior BJP leader Padma Shukla resign from the party. She has resigned from the post and the primary membership of the party as well. She is meeting senior Congress leader Kamal Nath in Chindwara and will join the party today.
It is a major blow to the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party ahead of scheduled assembly polls and the general election 2019. The reason for Shukla’s quitting from the party is unknown.
However, the ruling BJP is struggling to save its face against the massive anti-incumbency factor of Shivraj Singh Chouhan led government, failed to keep up his promise made to the people for the last 15 years of BJP rule in the state.
