In an appalling incident, a son killed his mother’s boyfriend after finding them together at his home in Mulund. The police arrested the accused Ravi Ghate on Tuesday under section 302 (murder) IPC.
The incident took place on Monday when the accused returned home, he found his mother with Devendra Singh (55). As per the police, the accused in rage started kicking and beating the man. After he was assaulted by him for nearly 15 minutes, he died.
Ghate’s mother informed the police about Devendra’s death following the incident.
The accused lived with his mother and father in Mulund colony. While his father is a watchman, his mother runs a tiffin service. Ghate himself is an electrician at some construction sites.
As per reports, a few customers also visit their house for lunch or dinner. The deceased was an auto driver and he used to sleep in his auto and eat at Ghate’s house. A police officer said, “When he went home, Ghate found one of the customers who used to visit regularly for lunch or dinner with his mother.”
The police said that they have booked the accused for murder and arrested him.
