Mysuru Ayurvedic Doctor Accused: Wife’s Complaint
The case gained momentum after the accused’s wife, Vinoda filed a formal complaint accusing him of physical, mental, and sexual abuse. The woman claimed that her husband started to abuse her shortly after their wedding and he used multiple methods to force her to transfer her property rights to him.

“He used to beat me and threaten me, saying, ‘I have killed so many girls, what are you?’… He demanded that my parents transfer land in my name. When I resisted, he would assault me,” Vinoda told reporters.
The investigation showed that her complaint established a pattern of alleged misconduct which involved multiple women and this caused the authorities to investigate previously closed cases which had not achieved any substantial development. The police will examine previous investigations to find out if they connect to a bigger pattern of unlawful activities which occurred.

12-Year-Old Case Resurfaces After Victim’s Death
The most serious allegation against him originates from 2014 which states that a senior Ayurvedic doctor developed a romantic relationship with the accused. Multiple reports confirmed his claims which showed that he lured her into their lodge at Srirangapatna to perform a suicide pact which included giving her both sleeping pills and an overdose injection.
The accused sustained only minor injuries during the incident while the woman remained in a coma state which lasted for more than ten years until she died recently. Her death has caused public and legal interest in the case to grow because the families demand justice while they question the findings from previous investigations.
Another Woman’s Death Allegations
A chartered accountant who met the accused through social media later died by suicide. Her family had previously filed a complaint holding him responsible, citing emotional distress and alleged manipulation. The case failed to proceed at that specific time, according to reports. Authorities are now considering whether this case should also be reopened.
The complainant told media outlets that an attacker drugged her and forced her to participate in sexual activities without her consent while he threatened her life because she tried to resist him. The investigation is still ongoing as the claims remain unproven in court.
Legal Status and Ongoing Probe
As of now, the allegations remain under investigation, and no court has established guilt. Mysuru police have initiated a fresh investigation following Dr. Nagashree’s death. Dr. Vinay Kumar has not been arrested so far. The accused person has the right to receive complete legal protections, and authorities have stated that their findings will depend on the evidence which they will collect throughout the investigation.
