The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has instructed the Delhi government, city police chief, and municipal commissioner to provide a detailed report within two weeks regarding the tragic deaths of three civil services aspirants in a coaching centre’s flooded basement.
In response to media reports highlighting negligence, the NHRC’s statement requested comprehensive information detailing the number of such educational institutes operating against norms, including any pending complaints and actions taken against them.
The commission also expressed grave concern over another incident where a civil services aspirant died from electrocution in a waterlogged area, urging for accountability from the authorities.
