Noida: Massive fire in temporary shelters kills one; over a dozen shanties destroyed

In a tragic incident, a 30-year-old woman was burn to death while over a dozen shanties were destroyed when a massive fire broke out in the temporary settlements, in the early hours of Wednesday.

As per the reports, the fire broke out around 12:30 AM in Jharia locality of Baraula village, under Sector 49 police station limits.

The deceased woman has been identified as Kanchan, who hailed from West Bengal. No other injury or casualty was reported.

Meanwhile, the blaze was doused by multiple fire tenders. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
